Canada in Prayer - May 26, 2000
We join all Canadian believers in celebrating a special time of prayer on
Friday, May 26, 2000. Many Christians across the nation will be gathering
together in Ottawa on May 26, 2000, from 6:30-11:00 p.m. EDT, for the Canadian
Prayer Assembly (2 Chronicles 7:14). Gatherings may also be held in other
locations across the nation.
For more information on this event or related activities, visit the web site
of Canada in Prayer at www.canadainprayer.com.
This site also includes news on prayer movements in each province.
Watch "Canadian Prayer Assembly" LIVE on the
Internet
on Friday, May 26, 6:30 p.m. EDT
Since not everyone is able to be in Ottawa, we encourage as many as possible
to log-on from wherever you are via the Internet. It's an opportunity to
visually see and pray along with those gathered during the actual Assembly —
Friday, May 26, 6:30-11:00 p.m. EDT.
In order to do this, you must have access to the Internet and a browser. You
may need Real Player or Windows media networks; these can be downloaded
"free" — there are prompts on the site address below. To connect use
this address: www.liveonrequest.com.
From this point it will take you directly to the Assembly grounds via
"streaming video." The hardware/software equipment you have as well as
your level of Internet access will determine the quality of sound and size of
picture you receive. Again, EVERYONE will be able to view the Assembly if they
have Internet access (e.g. if you have high speed cable connection, this is the
best possible picture and sound you can get.).
Please check the above Internet address two to three days prior to the
Assembly. Audio Design Systems will have a "test" screen for you to
view a sample of what you will see. Simply use the above Internet address. Also,
if you wish to project this onto a large screen in a church or for a large
group, you will need to have computer and Internet set up as well as a
projection system used for projecting pictures, video, and worship music (e.g.
"Power Point").
This information is also available on our web site at www.canadainprayer.com.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact prayer@canadainprayer.com
and they will attempt to provide you with the answer you need.
Please pass this information on to every Christian and congregation across
Canada as quickly as possible — giving many the opportunity to be part of this
historical event!
Live coverage of the Canadian Prayer Assembly will be available in the
Toronto-Hamilton area on CTS, Channel 36, 6:30-11:00 p.m. EDT (Cable Channel 9
in Toronto). See the website http://www.ctstv.com
for all the cable channels which carry CTS. It is also on Bell ExpressVu across
Canada.
