About the Plenery Speakers
Tony
Campolo, emeritus professor of sociology at Eastern College in
St. Davids, Pennsylvania, is among the most celebrated and
sought-after speakers and writers in the United States. Dr. Campolo
is a media commentator on religious, social, and political matters,
having guested on television programs like Nightline, Crossfire,
Politically Incorrect, The Charlie Rose Show and CNN News.
He co-hosted his own television series, "Hashing
It Out," on the Odyssey Network, and presently hosts From Across The
Pond, a weekly program on the Premier Radio Network in England. Dr.
Campolo is the author of more than 25 books, including
Speaking My Mind,
Revolution and Renewal: How Churches Are Saving Our Cities,
and
Let Me Tell You a Story: Life Lessons From Unexpected Places and
Unlikely People.
After
several years of teaching and consulting in higher education,
Brian McLaren left academia in 1986 to become founding pastor of
Cedar Ridge Community Church, an innovative, nondenominational
church in the Baltimore-Washington region. The church has grown to
involve several hundred people, many of whom were previously
unchurched.
McLaren is a popular speaker for seminaries and
conferences, nationally and internationally. His books include
The Church on the Other Side: Doing Ministry in the Postmodern
Matrix,
A New Kind of Christian, and
The Story We Find Ourselves In. He has written for or
contributed interviews to many periodicals, including Leadership,
Sojourners, Worship Leader, and Conversations.

Map
From Philadelphia – Go north on Interstate
476 (the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike) to exit
31. After exiting, turn right at the traffic light onto Route 63 (Sumneytown
Pike). Follow Route 63 west approximately 3 miles through the town
of Harleysville and then turn right onto Route 113 (Harleysville
Pike). Follow Route 113 north approximately 1 mile. Franconia
Mennonite Church is on the left.
From Allentown – Go south on Route 309 and exit at Souderton
(Route 113). After exiting, turn right and follow Route 113 south
(Harleysville Pike) approximately 3 miles through the towns of
Souderton and Franconia. Franconia Mennonite Church is on the right
side of the road.
