All-Including Sunday School
At the beginning of each Sunday school quarter, develop and distribute broadly a
brief list of all your classes, including the class name, age range, age of
children, primary study, class interests and social activities, and teaching
style employed (lecture, small group discussions, video segments, etc.).
BEST SUITED FOR: Any Size
Congregation
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
 | Make up a list of classes with class name, meeting room
location, approximate ages encompassed by the class, ages of children (for
adult classes), primary study for the quarter, any class special interests
or regular activities, teaching style employed, and whether they offer small
groups in addition to other class activities. |
 | Include a layout of the church with the rooms in the
educational facility clearly designated by room number or name. |
 | Include in the bulletin the last week for the previous
quarter and the first week of the new quarter. |
 | Give it out with other visitor information in a
visitors' packet. |
DO'S AND DON'TS
 | DO......give it out to new people; with ages and other
information listed it saves embarrassment of church greeters to probe for
information and make judgment as to where the visitor should go. Visitor can
scan the columns and pick something out. |
 | DO......update this quarterly (if on computer, probably
only a few minor changes will be needed.) |
 | DON'T......depend on this alone to help your Sunday
school grow. Make sure visitors are personally invited to class, and that
members surround new people in caring ways. |
RESOURCES NEEDED: None
COST: Minimal; mostly for
printing or copying the flyer
