Senior Adult Outreach Program

Develop an outreach program for senior adults over 60.

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

bulletSaturdays end with food and snacks provided by younger Sunday School classes.

DO'S AND DON'TS

bulletDO.....follow-up with contact by pastoral leadership.

Variations on this idea:

bulletMany churches have a monthly fellowship time for their senior members.  Encourage them to invite unchurched friends to add an outreach component to this regular activity.
bulletEven if your church senior's ministry is mostly an "in-house" affair, you could use trips and other activities for outreach to unchurched friends.
bulletThird Brethren Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, conducts a senior adult "Bible school" twice a year. It runs for five mornings during one week and includes a time of Bible study followed by lunch together.
