ECUMENICAL AWARD: Paul Mundey (left) and Robert Kettering display an Ecumenical Award given to New Life Ministries at the Church of the Brethren annual conference held in Milwaukee this past July. Given by the Church of the Brethren Committee on Interchurch Relations, the award "celebrates the birthing of organizations whose programs and ministries have been initiated by the Church of the Brethren and are now significant in their own right." As a successor to The Andrew Center, New Life Ministries is now a cooperative ministry of five denominations and two parachurch organizations whose focus is on evangelism and church vitality in the Anabaptist/believers’ church tradition. Mundey, senior pastor of the Frederick (MD) Church of the Brethren, is chairman of the board for New Life Ministries and Kettering, senior pastor of the Lititz (PA) Church of the Brethren, also serves on the board.
