Opening Worship – Beth Sollenberger Morphew

	Sollenberger Morphew led the singing of hymns, prayer, and a reading from 2 Corinthians 4.
	Dale Bauman introduced John Powell, who then introduced plenary speaker Stuart Murray.

Plenary Presentation 1: Church Planting Strategies and Anabaptist Values – Stuart Murray

The presentation was followed by a question and answer period.

Devotions – Dale Bauman

Bauman’s devotions centered on an illustration from Martyrs’ Mirror regarding the use of the tongue screw. He asked participants, "What keeps us quiet today when it comes to sharing the gospel?"

Church Planting Stories – led by Beth Sollenberger Morphew

Sollenberger Morphew led the participants in a variety of songs interspersed by church planting stories. Also, a visual presentation of "People Need the Lord" by Alan Miller was shared.

Storytellers were:

Julio Dueñas (humorous church planting experiences in New York City)

James Wenger (answered prayer for birth of a baby as a sign in Hmong congregation in California)

Gladys Maina (the power of healing prayer and its impact on outreach in Muncie, Indiana)

Dale Stoffer (how God provided leaders and finances in church planting in Columbus, Ohio)

Tara Hornbacker (Bible pounding and tornado sirens related to a Cincinnati, Ohio, church plant)

Sunday, February 18

Worship – Leader, Marilyn Miller; Song Leader, Ed Bontrager; Accompanist, Lois Barrett; Speaker, John Powell

Powell spoke on themes related to the harvest and the harvesters and the importance of learning the other person’s story, telling our story/experience with Christ, and telling God’s story of salvation and reconciliation in a clear and compelling way.
