Church Finances Quiz
Here's a quiz on church finances that you can use to encourage discussion in
your finance committee, church board, or Sunday school classes. A link to
the answers is provided at the end of this page. All items are TRUE or FALSE:
- Most church members don't want to give substantially more than they
currently are.
- Young adults tend to have different motivations for giving to the church
than older adults have.
- Offering people the option of having their pledge automatically deducted
from their checking account will increase giving to the church.
- Permitting pledging to more than one fund will hurt the overall income of
the church.
- Encouraging children to practice tithing or proportionate giving makes it
more likely that they will give generously as adults.
- People who share in conversations about money in the church are frequently
upset by those conversations.
- If a church has an endowment fund, the giving of the members of the
congregation usually declines.
- A spring financial campaign can be just as effective as one in the fall.
- Fewer congregations are conducting every member visitations.
- A financial crisis is coming for many congregations.
