About the Seminar
Many churches are considering adding a new worship service. This seminar will teach you why and how you might do that. The seminar might be called Church 101.
Nearly every church will experience numerical growth when adding a new service. Nearly every church will experience decline when a service is closed. A congregation must set the beginning of a new worship service within the context of a holistic approach to the church. Just beginning a new service by itself won't make the expected significant impact in the life of the church. The church will experience more dramatic results from the beginning of a new service when placed within the context of a comprehensive plan for growth. Such a strategy will be outlined in this seminar.
One of the four sessions will be spent on dealing with issues to be considered when a church is thinking of building. Is there a need? What will you build? And are you willing to ask for money?
The Presenter
Our speaker is Jim Moss, an experienced seminar leader and author of several books including People Spots. Jim is also the author of the widely circulated "People Spots" newsletter.
Jim has conducted hundreds of seminars with thousands of participants over the past 20 years. Seminars have been conducted in 20 denominations and 21 states. Jim has developed six major seminars:

He has worked for the Eastern
Conference of the Churches of God since 1977. His current assignments include
responsibility for planting new churches, helping with renewal efforts, and
assisting congregations to develop plans. Prior to that he served as a parish
pastor for eighteen years in Ohio and Maryland.
An acquaintance has described Jim's work in this manner: "One of Jim's
strengths is his ability to speak the language of most folks in the pew. There
are elements of relational witness in his training. Jim has made this his own
unique understanding of how to preserve church membership. His is a scholarly,
