Hospitality and the Vital Church Seminar
Seminar
Speaker:
Fred Bernhard
Pastor, Oakland Church of the Brethren, a rural congregation in west
central Ohio. This church has implemented the ideas that will be presented
at the seminar. Co-author of the book Widening the Welcome of Your
Church
and the new book Hospitality:
Life without Fear. When the Oakland church applied the principles taught in this
seminar, it experienced a 19% increase in worship attendance and a 36%
increase in Sunday school attendance in the first three months. Since
then, the church has continued to grow, doubling in size in an eight-year
period.
Many Churches Are Asking Questions Such as These . . .
 | How can we keep visitors from being ignored by church
members who are busy talking with one another? |
 | How can we help the members of the congregation overcome
their uneasiness around strangers and start showing a true
attitude of acceptance? |
 | What can we do to create enough excitement that people will
want to invite others to come to our church? |
 | How can we truly assimilate new members when most of the
people in our church have been coming for more than twenty
years? |
If you are asking these or similar questions about your
congregation, you'll want to attend this helpful seminar.
Speaker Fred Bernhard will present a model for biblical
hospitality that will include practical applications you can take
home and implement immediately.
