Seminar Hosting Requirements

New Life Ministries is currently looking for host locations for the Hospitality and Spirituality and the Hospitality and Worship seminars.

Workshop hosts should meet the following criteria:

	Be located in a town surrounded by a sizable population base living within a 50 to 60 mile radius and be reasonably easy for workshop attendees to find
	Provide a meeting room large enough to accommodate 100 people seated at tables
	Be handicapped accessible (including restrooms)
	Provide lunch as well as 2 coffee and snack breaks (for which the host will be compensated)
	Have one or two volunteers to staff the registration desk and the New Life Ministries book table 30 minutes before the workshop, during breaks, and 30 minutes after the workshop
	Have someone, ideally the host pastor or judicatory executive, share opening devotions and introduce the seminar leader
	Help promote the workshop event with local congregations, including distributing the New Life Ministries workshop brochure, promoting the event through congregational/district/conference newsletters, and calling local clergy

The host church or judicatory will receive 5 free registrations and the highest available discount on additional registrations.

New Life Ministries will provide:

	A skilled seminar leader, either Fred Bernhard or Steve Clapp
	Travel arrangements and expenses for the leader
	Reimbursement to the host for the cost of lunch and refreshments (calculated per attendee)
	Notebook for each workshop participant which comes with photocopy permission for use in their congregation
	Registration processing of workshop attendees
	Name tags for workshop attendees who register in advance
	New Life Ministries books and resources to be sold at the book table
	Brochures to help the host with publicity
	Additional direct mail publicity within New Life Ministries’ partnering denominations

The minimum number of paid registrations for each workshop is 40. If two weeks prior to the event less than 40 registrations have been received, New Life Ministries will be in dialogue with the host church or judicatory about the viability of the workshop.

Workshop sessions normally begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. An afternoon/evening combination (for example, 2:30 p.m. through 9:00 p.m.) can be arranged for Sunday workshops. While workshops such as this one are often scheduled on weekends for the convenience of lay persons who want to attend, a weekday can also be arranged and may be better if clergy are the primary audience you wish to reach.

The prices for this workshop are based on the number of persons attending from a single congregation and whether or not they register before the early bird deadline. All registration fees include lunch.

If a registration is mailed to New Life Ministries before the early-bird deadline, the registration fees are:

1-3 persons from the same church: $35 per person

4 or more persons from the same church: $29 per person

All registrants from the same church must send registration forms and fees together to New Life Ministries to receive the group discounts.

Registration fees mailed to New Life Ministries after the early-bird deadline are:

1-3 persons from the same church: $40 per person

4 or more persons from the same church: $35 per person

The early bird deadline will be set at two weeks prior to the date of the workshop.

A limited number of workshops will be scheduled, so reserve your preferred dates as soon as possible.
